FAQs

Why do we do what we do?

Our driving force lies in a genuine desire to make the world a better place, one person at a time.

What sets us apart?

We track results during each session as feedback is obtained, allowing both the therapist and client to witness the progess of their transformation.

We believe in fairness and will never seek to keep clients in therapy any longer than needed. In fact our approach is to help the client resolve their issues as quickly as possible so they can get on with living their best lives.

What are the benefits of hypnotherapy:?

  • Opportunity to resolve long standing issue/s
  • Learn how to manage yourself better on a day to day basis
  • Relaxation & peace of mind
  • You have our support all the way along
  • Potentially, saving finacially due to addictions/habits that have ceased

What is the difference between the Conscious and Subconscious Mind?

The Conscious mind consists of everything we are currently aware of, it controls our voluntary actions, is logical and analytical, uses reason, makes judgments and uses short term memory capable of processing and storing a limited amount of information.

The Subconscious mind is beyond our current awareness.  It controls involuntary movements, stores memories, emotions, and habits.  It uses long term memory and is capable of processing and storing vast amounts of information.

What should I expect to feel when hypnotised?

This is a difficult question to answer because everyone’s experience can be quite different. Some may say, it gave their mind a rest, others may say they felt light during it, and others may say they felt like they “drifted off” as though they had a sleep.

Being hypnotised and the feeling that goes along with it, is different for everyone, but the experience is overall extremely relaxing.

How many sessions are needed?

There is no precise answer to this question, for the sole reason that every person who seeks therapy presents with a unique set of circumstances. On average, most clients require between 3-6 sessions, however the number of sessions could range from 1 or higher depending on the nature of the client’s issue or issues.

What is EMDR?

Eye movement desensitization reprocessing is a therapy developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in 1989 to help trauma victims with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

A doctor’s referral is not necessary.

Is hypnotherapy similar to stage hypnosis?

Rest assured, hypnotherapy is not stage hypnosis, so you will not be clucking like a chicken or barking like a dog, these are misconceptions. We utilise hypnosis as a therapeutic tool, we do not use hypnosis for the purpose of entertainment.

Can hypnotherapy be done online?

The answer is Yes, sessions can be held remotely. We work with both interstate and international clients. Just a note, clients who select online sessions will need to have a quiet, comfortable space to relax in, without disruptions.
